What I ate in NYC🍎
New York has so many different cultures and endless affordable options for food. I was impressed with how good the hospitality was across the board in high-end and affordable establishments!
Affordable
- Supreme Pizza in Brooklyn. I got 2 cheese slices, a drink and a brownie for under $6! The pizza was thin, but not thin crust if that makes sense. What I enjoy about NY style pizza is that it tastes fresh and it isn’t greasy. 5/5 stars!!
- Junior’s Bakery. I tried the red velvet cheesecake, the raspberry swirl cheesecake, the danishes and their hot chocolate. (Across multiple visits of course) It was so good.
- Paris Baguette. I tried the salted caramel pretzel donut and the mango brioche roll. Amazing!!!
Happy Hour
- Grey Lady. I finally got to try some oysters and they did not disappoint! I’ve been waiting because I wanted to enjoy coastal oysters because why not?! I also had their Caesar salad and fries. I believe the happy hour oysters were $1.
- RT60. This rooftop bar on the 34th floor of the Hard Rock hotel is such a vibe! The bartenders were very nice and it’s overlooking Times Square!
Dinner
- The Soul Spot. I had their salmon, collard greens and mac and cheese. I cleaned my plate!
- SoHo House. Everything was amazing! The bread/butter, shrimp tacos, fries and the vodka penne…whew! I also had a few drinks and they were very generous with their pours.
- Ramen Thukpa. The dumplings and ramen were 10/10!
