Fav Conclave ✞

Last weekend I finally watched Conclave and the film was incredible. I especially liked the big reveal at the end, I feel like it forces us liberals to think of what our idea of progress is. I'm not going to spoil it, but I could see at the end when the main character shifted through so many emotions when Benitez shared his truth. I like how it was ambiguous, he seemed conflicted at first but cracked the smallest grin eventually. That was nice. I notice that with a lot of progressive people, they say that they want progress but they still have somewhat regressive ideas about what progress looks like. I like how at the end it forces him (and the audience) to contend with our biases.
